What goes in
- A survey first: what needs to be seen, from where, and in what light
- IP cameras chosen for the position rather than for the spec sheet
- NVR or VMS sized for the channel count and the retention you need
- Structured cabling, PoE switching, cabinets and backup power
- Labelled, tested and handed over channel by channel

- Remote viewing on a phone and on a desktop, not only in the guard room
- Retention set to what the operation and the insurer actually require
- Clips exported with the time and the camera attached to them
- Site cameras and vehicle MDVR side by side instead of in two portals
